Oregon Barrel Works: News Update
Oregon Barrel Works builds Oregon oak barrels on site, in McMinnville, Oregon for harvest 2006: For the past nine years Oregon Barrel Works has made their barrels at Demptos Napa Cooperage. In 2006 the Oregon oak barrel building was moved onsite to Oregon Barrel Works McMinnville location. Moving the barrel building on site allowed Oregon Barrel Works to fine-tune the toasting of the barrels. Oregon Barrel Works also added a three-step water emersion process designed to increase the sweetness of the Oregon oak and reduce aggressive tannins.
